Thank you for your feedback - I'll make sure that the author of that article has a look at your comments, and we'll get back to you. Admitedly, he is in the middle of finishing a book for Osprey, so his response might not be too quick, but we will respond. Once again, thanks _________________ Visit the Military History Encyclopedia on the Web |

| As the author, I'd just like to drop a quick note to say thanks for the advice regarding the article, but it would be helpful if you could let me have some references (journal articles, book chapters, website addresses etc.) so I can correct it, rather than just blindly criticising it. The article itself was written quite a long time ago now, around 8 years I think, and its very likely that things have changed, or more detailed information has come to light. Some of what I said was stated in the future tense, probably about things the Russians were going to do but for budgetary reasons did something differently. If any information, sorces etc is available, I will try to correct the article inbetween writing my second osprey book. I hope! |

I see. The problem is that there is no reliable sources about Russian naval spetsnaz in English. Western people like Viktor Suvorov's books, but his book about Spetsnaz is incorrect - it had to show "devil's face" of the Soviet spetsnaz, nothing more.
Do you speak Russian? All my sources are in Russian. Anyway, if you are interested in detailed information about Soviet/Russian naval spetsnaz, just send me a letter to point@internet.lv.
PS. My English is poor, sorry. What does it mean "osprey"? |
